Galaxy

From Galactic Civilizations III Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

The Galaxy is a map of tiles containing entities like planets, starbases and ships. During game setup, the player can choose the size and shape of the galaxy, as well as the frequency of various galactic features. There are four self-descriptive galaxy shapes: spiral, loose, tight and scattered.

Galaxy size[edit | edit source]

The galaxy sizes are denoted tiny, small, medium, large, huge, gigantic, immense, excessive and ludicrous. Increasing the galaxy size increases the player capacity but also the required computational resources. While even a typical laptop can support an immense galaxy, very few systems will have the processing power necessary to support 50 players, the recommended number of players for a ludicrous size galaxy.
