Initial research into weapons systems reveals three basic types: Unrecognized icon nameGC3 Beam Attack Stat Icon.png Beam weapon, Unrecognized icon nameGC3 Missile Attack Stat Icon.png Missile weapon and Unrecognized icon nameGC3 Kinetic Attack Stat Icon.png Kinetic weapon. After gaining experience with basic examples of each type, a civilization can optimize and evolve designs on a per-type basis.
